D’Net
offers weekly private lessons, as well as monthly group
lessons. D’Net tailors lessons to each individual. Music
reading, technique, sight reading, ear training, music
history, and composition are taught in a fun and appealing
way. A variety of music is learned, from Classical to Jazz
to Broadway and pop tunes. D’Net excels in teaching
songs that motivate each student.
In
addition to the traditional approach of piano lessons,
D'Net also incorporates "off the bench"
activities to help students internalize musical skills
needed to achieve success. This helps lessons from
becoming stagnant, and keeps student interest and
motivation high.
Group
lessons are held periodically throughout the year,
and students are given the valuable opportunity of
interacting with other piano students. In group
lessons, music skills are reinforced, and students
also gain important performance-building skills.
Games, listening, and other fun activities
dominate the group lessons. In fact, at first
glance, the group lessons look more like a party
than a lesson!
There
are two recitals a year, in October and
May. Awards, ribbons, and trophies are
awarded at the Spring recital for students
who have met and exceeded their goals in
practicing, meeting goals, memorization,
and so on. There are also other optional
performance opportunities throughout the
year that are sponsored by Desert Valley
Music Teacher’s Association.
Monthly payment for lessons are as follows:
$80
for 1/2 hour lessons* (voice only)
$120
for 45 minute lessons* (voice or
